As an editor for Time Out Chicago, I received media training and made frequent appearances on Chicago-area TV and radio broadcasts to provide commentary related to my recent articles. I'm comfortable delivering information in front of a camera and from behind a mic — and I've been able to put these skills to use in subsequent roles via presentations to coworkers and management.
Throughout my career at Time Out, I made semi-regular appearances on Chicago's CBS and Fox affiliate stations to speak about topics like upcoming events and the Lollapalooza lineup.
During the relaunch of Time Out Market Chicago in 2021, I appeared on local news broadcasts to share information about new vendors and programming. I also spoke about a mural of Chicago-native Virgil Abloh that was installed in the food hall.
I was an occasional guest on WBEZ's daily talk show Reset, where I spoke about topics like Chicago music venue the Salt Shed and the first post-COVID edition of Lollapalooza.
I also appeared on WGN Radio 720, where I usually spoke about recent Time Out Chicago articles and responded to questions from callers.
